Vanilla Ink is a fully equipped workshop in Dundee for jewellery graduates. As well as providing much sought after work space, it also supplies tailor-made business training, mentoring, support and advice. The facility offers the graduate the opportunity to develop their abilities, covering many areas of practical and theoretical skills as well as providing a supportive environment and network to work within.
Kate approached us with an ambitious vision which was to promote jewellery designers/makers through the Vanilla Ink brand. Along side the physical work shop, the website allows the designers to build up their online presence with the use of blogging, discussion forums and events. The discussion forums is a place for the Vanilla Ink designers to interact and engage with a wider audience by sharing knowledge and life experiences in design, making and business. Kate facilitates the forums however they are very much directed by the whole community.
As well as the facility to share this wealth of information, the Vanilla Ink website hosts an online shop where designers can sell their own pieces of work.
